Treasurer’s Initiatives
As State Treasurer, Richard Moore has undertaken a number of initiatives that are important to the state and its citizens. He has worked to increase the state’s minimum wage and to enact a state EITC, proposals that strengthen the public purse by creating opportunity for all North Carolinians. He has used the power of the state’s investments to stand up for consumers and demand fair and responsible behavior by the nation’s companies. As an investor, he has done the right thing for our environment, for our state and for our citizens. Treasurer Moore has also worked to increase financial literacy by supporting programs that teach our families and children about the importance of saving, budgeting and planning.
